During the presentation of the award, the audience was told that Kurtz Bros., Inc. has diverted and recycled over 10,000,000 tons of material away from landfills over the course of the last several decades. It was noted that the volume they have recycled would fill Notre Dame Stadium from the field to the top row of stands over 5 times.

He and his wife Laura have also hosted the Cleveland Club’s freshman send-off several times, including this fall.
